GENERAL INFORMATION: Ryuichi was born in Maebashi-city in 1942. He has been
married to Masako for 28 years with 4 children. He is president of Soga Flour
Milling and Maebashi Warehouse & Logistics Co..(Own business,About 130
employees) Recently he has developed a bakery and noodle division. Especially thebakery shop is named "Baker's Street", and he has now 5 oven-fresh bakerys shops. Ryuichi was inducted into the Rotary Club of Maebashi in 1977, and now a senior active member. He has been Club Secretary and he is now Chairman of Club Committee in District 2560.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Joe was brought up in the Mt. Akagi mountains which is
located in the center of Gunma prefecture. He works in a foundation which was
established by his grandfather. Now the main business of the foundation is
running a pre-school. Joe helps at the pre-school, and he also plans camping andskiing trips,jazz concerts,rice planting and other educational experiences for
the community.People from 1 to 80 years old join his program. He is especially
interested in taking care of teenagers,so he plans camping and skiing trips for students to study human relations through out-door activities.
SPECIAL INTEREST: He likes sports such as baseball,tennis and especially skiing.He goes skiing 30-40 days in a season.He also likes jazz and pop music.

which is neighborhood prefecture of Niigata, and his parents live there. His main
interesting and research target is Computer Laws and Informational administration, especially intellectual property rights of digital contents.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Yuki was born in Hokkaidoª@prefecture, and has lived in
Niigata prefecture for nine years. Now he is placed in the Senior Citizen's
Welfare division of city office, mainlyin charge of in-home welfare services.
In-home services will be improved so that elderly people can keep on living in
their cherished homes or communities for as long as possible even if they need
care. He hopes that this exchange program will help foster a better understanding of American people and the social welfare system.
SPECIAL INTEREST: Yuki sometimes plays baseball in ªgthe early-birds tournament".He likes watching professional baseball games on TV,too.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Sanae was born in Maebashi-city in 1972. She graduated from the Japanese dental hygienist school, then she worked in a general hospital's
dentistry. After her experience in clinics, she became active in public health.
She went to Chicago to participate in La-League International about ten years
ago. Last year, her mother has joined the same program in Washington.
SPECIAL INTEREST: She likes to visit hot springs, to commune with nature and so
on. She is accomplished in Japanese tea ceremony.
